Although not considered as a disease, but it is true that alcoholism is one amongst the worst medical conditions that one can have. Alcoholism can even prove to be fatal in severe condition. Alcoholism is not a usual disease that will evade just by medication. It has the tenancy to mark a negative effect on life in every way. Alcoholism can disturb social or business circle of your life, and leaves adverse effects on the life of family members too.

Alcoholism, also known as alcohol dependence, is a disease that includes the following four symptoms: Craving – A strong need, or urge, to drink. Loss of control- Not being able to stop drinking once drinking has begun. Physical dependence- Withdrawal symptoms, such as nausea, sweating, shakiness, and anxiety after stopping drinking. Tolerance-The need to drink greater amounts of alcohol to get “high.”
